Bachelor In Paradise Heads to Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta Mex

August 6, 2015

Fans of ABC's Bachelor in Paradise will get a taste of the sprawling Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta resort complex when one of the show's couples pay a visit for a romantic dinner serenaded by a 101-piece mariachi band.

The episode featuring Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta is scheduled to air at 8 p.m. on Aug. 9.

In sharp contrast to the remote yet luxurious Playa Escondida Sayulita, where the series made its second-season debut, amenity-laden Vidanta Nuevo Nayarit is set on 530 manicured tropical acres encompassing five resorts that are connected by miles of wooden pathways.

All told, the complex, which is situated on a stretch of the pristine Riviera Nayarit coast, features 38 bars and restaurants and 27 pools. It is home to a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course. A second course, designed by Greg Norman, is scheduled to come on line soon.

Its five resorts include the Grand Luxxe, the Grand Bliss, the Grand Mayan, the Mayan Palace and the Sea Garden.

"Bachelor in Paradise is such an established entertainment franchise and we wanted to meet their need for a Mexican resort paradise," said Benny Michaud, director of hotel operations for Grupo Vidanta, which operates the Nuevo Vallarta resort, as well as resorts in Riviera Maya, Los Cabos, Acapulco, Puerto Peñasco, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. "We look forward to the series shining a spotlight on how true beauty and lasting happiness can be discovered in Mexico."

The Bachelor in Paradise cast is expected to be on location in Mexico for six weeks – leading many to speculate what resort and destinations might be featured next.

Maybe Puerto Vallarta and its resorts? That makes sense – the city, after all, has a Romantic Zone.
